Now is your time,

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” Mark 16:15.
Now that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior it is your responsibility to share the Good News of Christ. God sent His Son, Jesus on earth to die on the cross for our sins. But, it doesn't end there, He rose on the third day and He lives! We serve a risen Savior! This is Good News! It was by hearing the Good News of Christ, you were saved. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Romans 10:17.
How can anyone hear The Good News of Christ if no one is speaking?
Think of it this way, people are drowning in sin, souls are dying and people need a lifeguard (someone to rescue and save them). There is only one person that’s able to save them and that is Jesus Christ. He is our Lifeguard. The gift of God is eternal life. Where He sees us dying, He jumps in and rescues us. Romans 6:23.
Lifeguards are trained and placed in a position to save someone from harm, danger, and ultimately from drowning. They are often wearing red shirts with a cross. In the eyes of some, it's just a red shirt and a sign. However to us believers we see red as the blood of Jesus and the cross as significant to what Jesus did for us. He rescued us. Jesus came and took our punishment. When we were drowning in sin, He was quick to jump in and save us. God is more than equipped to be our Lifeguard. He’s the Giver of Life.
Lifeguards are on standby. We rely on them in times of emergencies and they are always ready for use and action. It's in the same way the Holy Spirit is our Standby. He's quick and ready to act when we are in need. John 14:26.
Now us, who are we? What part do we play?
We act and serve as a life jacket. The main function of a life jacket is to keep a person afloat in the water. Life jackets are to prevent people from drowning or dying. However, it’s up to the individual to decide if they want to wear it or depend on their swimming skills. In the same way, we tell others about Jesus, we share our faith and testimony but in the end, they have to be willing to accept Truth. We (life jackets) play an essential part in someone's life. But life jackets aren't always reliable. One malfunction and the life jacket is no longer useful. Life jackets are not perfect and they can mess up too. We are life jackets because we are not perfect. We make mistakes, and we still sin but we are now in the arms of our Life Guard (our Savior).
What we can do is introduce them to Christ, speak of God’s goodness and share our testimony. When it is time for you to share your faith in Jesus. You can simply ask God to prepare you and give you the words to say. Also, allow your life to be evidence of what God has done. Many people notice the change in our life before they believe the words we speak. Represent Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:20 We plant the seed but it's God who is the Light and He does the watering and the growing.
Jesus saves. Let's tell the world! This is Good News that is worth sharing!

Thank You, Jesus, for the free gift of salvation. I pray and ask that You will help and prepare me for the time that I share my faith. I pray that it will be Your Words. I pray for every heart and every soul, so they can come to know You. I pray that You will use me for Your Kingdom and Your children. Thank You, Jesus, for all you have done and all you will continue to do. In Jesus name, Amen.
