To save means to rescue someone or something from harm or danger. It also means to deliver, protect, and set free. These three words are a reminder of what Christ has done for us on the cross. Jesus saved us and He is the only Way, the Truth, and the Life. John 14:6. Jesus was perfect and never sinned, yet he was sold for the same price as a slave and died a sinner's death.

 

You were bought with a price and it was Jesus death. However Jesus did not stay in the grave, He lives and He is alive. Jesus dying on the cross was the perfect and complete payment for our sins. 1 John 2:2 and the Bible declares, there is no other name under heaven that can save us, it's only the name of Jesus. Acts 4:12. 

 

​Salvation is a gift that believers receive when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior through faith. Our salvation is a gift to us from God through his wonderful Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus delivered us from the bondage (stronghold, power, control) of sin. Salvation is not earned, it’s freely given. Our only responsibility is to accept this special gift, through His one and only son, Jesus. Though this gift did not cost us, it cost Jesus everything. He was beaten, mocked, spit on, betrayed and as He looked ahead, He saw you, He saw me. Even in our sin and wickedness, He still willingly gave Himself for us. 

 

The Bible declares "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. 

 

If you want to accept Christ as your Lord and Savior and place your faith in Him, let’s pray together. 

 

“Thank you God for loving me, thank You for Jesus, thank You for another chance. Lord, I believe that you died for my sins and You are alive today. I believe Jesus Christ took my punishment on the cross and I am made right with You. I place my faith in You. Help me to be more like You. I love you Father and I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. It is only by the name of Jesus. Only You can save me. In Jesus name. Amen.”
