A Love Letter to the Little Girl inside of me

To: The little girl inside of me, Happy Birthday, my girl.

Look how far you’ve come. Look how far God has carried you.

Do you remember that tiny mustard seed of faith you planted all those years ago? Well, guess what? It was on solid ground, and God has used it. That small seed you gave to Him has grown into a large tree, and your branches have reached farther than you ever imagined.

At the time, you didn’t see it as much but it truly was all you had. God knew that. Watching you grow has been beautiful. Your life is filled with light but that’s because of the Light of the world. He’s given you the courage to move forward in faith. He’s given you opportunities to become more like Him, to trust Him more. You’ve made mistakes along the way (and there were many) —but thank God for His mercy.

Who could’ve imagined that the little girl who struggled with fear, anxiety, and doubt would be where you are now? God did. He’s used every part of your life—including your brokenness—and transformed it into something beautiful. He answered your prayer and grew your faith. He also kept you through every fire, every storm, every valley, and every mountaintop. 

It’s clear that God is with you. He see you, and He is watching over you. Together with Jesus, we’re cheering you on with the biggest smiles on our faces. I am so proud of you. There’s no turning back now. The good work that was started, will be finished. You deserve to live a life of freedom.

Stay planted. Remember God works everything for good. Be kind to yourself.
