The Creator & The Creation

Updated: Jul 30, 2022

When I think of the color yellow, it reminds me of the sun. The sun is bright, uncovering, and gives both light and life to everyone and everything. It provides heat to warm our oceans and seas. It also helps generates our weather patterns. In the winter, it is much colder because the earth is tilted away from the sun, which means we received less direct sunlight. The sun is needed for life on earth to be possible. Scientists have even stated that “nothing is by far as important to us on earth than the sun, and without the sun, life on earth wouldn't exist”.

Sunlight is important for our plants to grow. Plants depend on the sun for energy to make food. We need plants for oxygen, food, medicine, and for our animals to survive. Without the sunlight for our plants, we will starve. Plants are filled with nutrients and if we are not able to eat them our health along with the animals will suffer. Also, the earth’s temperature would drop and everything living and breathing would freeze and soon die. Darkness would rule and our oceans and seas would turn into ice. Plants would not be able to produce food or oxygen. And as a result, all animals, and humankind would die. The earth would be lifeless.

With all this being said, it’s safe to say, the sun is needed for our earth and everything in it to survive.

As I was spending time with God about over a year ago, I was reading Genesis 1 and all the things God has created. I came across the verse that says “Then God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years. God set these lights in the sky to light the earth, to govern the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. God made two great lights—the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also made the stars. Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth.” And that is what happened.” Genesis 1:14-18

As I read this I started to ask questions. Why do we need the sun? What’s the purpose of the sun? What would the world be without it?

As the Holy Spirit led me, I did some research, and the first thing that I saw was “Without the sun, the world wouldn’t exist”. To some, they may have read that as is. But to me, with the lens of God, I read it as without the Son, Jesus Christ, the world wouldn't exist. There would be no me, no you, no second chance. If it was not for the sacrifice and the obedience of Jesus, we wouldn’t be here. By here I mean we would not be alive.

Jesus paid the price for us in full and there is nothing we have done to deserve or earn this free gift of salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 It was our sin, that separated us from God. It was us that sinned against God. We are the wrongdoers. God is Holy and sin cannot stand in His presence. The Good and beautiful news is that God wanted us. He restored our relationship with Him through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20. God sent His one and only son, Jesus, in human form (flesh) to pay our penalty. To pay the price. To lay His life down for us to live again. Jesus died yes, but He did not stay dead. He is not in the grave. He is alive and is seated at the right hand of the Father. Mark 16:19.

Our King is a risen King who defeated death, hell, and the grave.

It is only because of Jesus we have a second chance.

He is the Giver of life.

Let’s think for a moment. If we remove the sun from the earth we are left with darkness. Every living thing dies. If the sun in the sky is that important, how much more do we need the One and only, True and Living Son, Jesus Christ? Without Jesus, who is the Light of this world, we would be in complete and total darkness.

“For wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord”. Romans 6:23

The way to pay for our sins is through death. God had a plan, a perfect plan. He sent His son to die for us, and He did it one time! Jesus died one time for all our sins. His death covered our past sins, present sins, and the sins were going to commit in the future.

Jesus is the only name that saves. It is only through Jesus we can experience the fullness of the Father. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. John 14:16 If you are longing for more, and want to walk in the light of Christ. If you want to live a life knowing in the end you will have eternal life through Christ, (your Savior) and place your faith in Him. Please click the page that says “Jesus Saves”. The best life decision you made!

Father, thank You for Your perfect plan. For sending your One and Only Son to die in my place. Thank You for Your Word and Your truth. In Jesus name, Amen.
