“Dad, together we go.”

As we brought in the New Year, Jesus showed me a vision. It was Him and I walking together. We were holding hands, laughing, talking, and enjoying each other's presence. I was carefree, like a child free from fear, anxiety, and worry. It was just God and me, and that was enough for me. I was content. As we were walking, ahead of us was a door. As we walked towards the door, hand, and hand, side by side and step by step, I repeatedly said “Dad, together we go”. “Together we go”.
This door represented God's promises.
Every promise, dream, and desire God has given us is a blessing. But, to me, it’s the journey that makes it all special. It was on the journey, I had the opportunity to know God more and see more of His heart. It’s through the journey, I can become a good steward of the promise God has given me. The journey also includes some testing, quiet days, rainfalls, and many teary eyes, (mostly of joy). The journey looks different for everyone. However, God tells us all to count it all joy. It tells us when our faith is tested, our endurance has a chance to grow and develop. James 1:3-6
One thing I can say is it was on the journey I fell in deeper love and awe of God. The journey is only worth it when you have someone you can trust walking with you. For most of my journey, it was only me and God. And that was enough, He was enough. I’ve learned to fully depend on Him and be okay with not knowing what was next. I learned to trust Him no matter how things look like. As we took steps in our journey, the Word of God became my foundation. It was God’s Word and presence that encouraged, guided, and gave me insight into God’s plan for me in every aspect of life. I've tasted and seen that the Lord is good. On the journey, I experienced the goodness of God. That His grace is sufficient, and His love is truly unfailing and unconditional.
Can the journey be scary? For me it was. I had some days the sun did not always shine. There were times I did doubt God and his plan for my life. I had moments where I tried to do it on my own because I did not believe God was working things out. There were even times, I allowed the enemy to steal my joy and peace. But as I walk with Christ and committed myself to this journey with Him, my faith began to grow. My perspective on life and its circumstances changed. My roots grew deeper. Time after time, God showed me who He is and I have decided never to let go of His hand. I see the world now through His lens. It was on the journey I met God the Provider, God the Sustainer, and God the Promise Keeper. I met God, my Father. Abba. A good Father who cares about every detail of His children's life. A Father who protects His children from harm and danger. A Father who defends and fights for His children. God, who is filled with wisdom and truth. I met God and I met my true self. The little girl that God sees. My identity and confidence came from the One who created me and I learned all and more of through the journey.
The best part of this journey is that I met a Friend, that is with me every step of the way. He’s my Best Friend, I met Jesus.

There’s beauty on the journey. Sometimes we have to remember to look up, see the stars, hear the birds and breathe. As long as you are with Christ, rest assured you're coming out on the other side stronger, wiser, and even more dependent on God.
Hold on tight. Stay firm. Remember He’s a Good God and a Great Father.

Amen! Together we go!! Thank God we are not on this journey of life alone. We have a forever friend walking hand in hand with us! Thanks for reminding us!!!
